NECPWA

Newby Hall July 18th July 2021

Webmaster, Monday 19 October 2020 - 18:48:09

Please Note: the information below is PROVISIONAL and the Rally may not happen in 2021. Everyone hopes it will but at the time of writing this the organisers are not in a position to make any decisions.

NECPWA Annual Rally and Autojumble at Newby Hall is organised by the Bishop Auckland Branch of NECPWA and is the largest Classic Car Show in the North of England with a maximum of 1,500 cars on display from all era's and cars registered prior to 31st December 1979 which is usually held on the 3rd Sunday in July.

Location: Newby Hall Ripon North Yorkshire HG4 5AE Satnav use HG4 5AJ - Click Here -

NECPWA Members should normally receive an application in their edition of NECPWA News (members who get the 'electronic' version of the magazine should get a copy by e mail with their magazine.)

Members are asked to note:

1. Main permitted entrants are registrations up to 31st December 1979. The Future Classics Class is for vehicles registered 1/01/1980 – 31/12/1999 for NECPWA Members only. Vehicles after 1999 will not be accepted. This class is limited to 50 entries on a first come, first served basis.

2. When you send an entry form, if you do not include a 9in.x 6.5in. (C5) stamped & self-addressed envelope, you will NOT receive an Entry Pass.

This year the age range has been extended to cover vehicles up to the end of 1979, so it is expected to be a sell-out year, it is expected the 1500 limit will be reached before the closing date, so there are unlikely to be any late entries after the closing date. There are certainly no entries on the day.

Closing Date: 18th June (or earlier if fully subscribed)

CAR Entry Application Form: SUSPENDED

Traders or autojumblers Only

Auto Jumble Application form is now available to download: SUSPENDED

Closing Date: 26th June

…and a plea:

Following the magnificent help our volunteers gave us last year at Newby Hall, could I please once again call for Volunteers for this year’s show?

You made the show last year with a lot of hard work, so if you can spare a couple of hours, please come along - we will make you most welcome!

Latest Club News

All Club Events, Coffee Mornings etc. are suspended until at least May 2021. Please remember everyone to follow the Governments latest Coronavirus (COVID‑19) and Social Distancing Advice to 'Stay Safe' so we can all meet again once this is over.

Latest Club Update:

We will endeavour to keep everyone updated as to future events as/if/when we have any further news.

2020 The year never to be forgotten

Who would think we would miss sitting under brollies keeping the Sun off or as in some cases the Rain!

No Christmas meals with members this year or Summer evening road runs with a meal out at some little country pub at the end.

No local branch meetings for a natter or quiz/game (and a meal out) # Sometimes I wonder if we are a Classic Car Club or a Dining Club? #
Some of us have found it quite lonely not having day to day contact with other like-minded people, we hope this coming year we will be able to get the old motors out and take them for glorious runs to shows & rallies and then of course, have a meal out on the way home! Happy Days

When I was at school and did History, most people can remember 1665 as being “The year of the Great Plague” I wonder what kids are taught in the future about 2020 ? will it be Covid 19 or Brexit finally been done and dusted ?

Take Care & Stay safe, hope to see you all in 2021

John & Helen Bilton

As all Tyneside Branch events are now cancelled, those with this years Season Tickets can use them as payment for next years Season Ticket.

We will be getting in-touch with those members who have paid for the 2020 season to explain the details.

NECPWA will continue to follow all official Government guidelines and will keep you informed of any future plans.
